Breaking Free from Perfectionism: Embracing God’s Plan 🌟

There is no doubt in my mind perfectionism is ranking at the top of the list—it saddens me when I think to myself there’s a person right now who will never get the chance to experience all of what God has to offer all because of that person’s inability to think positive about an outcome— It wasn’t until I found myself on my own journey of doing inner work over two decades ago that I was confronted with these adverse thoughts.

The Prison of Perfectionism 🔒

Perfectionism is a silent dream killer. It whispers lies with phrases like you don’t have what is takes or another lie like your not  good enough, A mindset like this has kept many people stuck, preventing them from stepping into the fullness of their purpose and experiencing the abundant life God has prepared for them.

When we’re trapped in perfectionism, we’re essentially telling God that His grace isn’t sufficient—that we need to be flawless before we can move forward. But that’s not how divine love works.

The Journey Inward ✨

My own journey of inner work began over twenty years ago: had to face the uncomfortable truth that I was holding myself back with impossible standards. I was so focused on being perfect that I was missing out on being present—present in my purpose, present in my relationships, and present in the beautiful life unfolding around me.

The breakthrough came when I realized that God doesn’t call the qualified; He qualifies the called. Our imperfections don’t disqualify us—they’re actually part of the plan.

Shifting from Perfection to Progress 🌱

Here’s what I’ve learned: Done is better than perfect. Taking imperfect action is more powerful than taking no action at all while waiting for everything to be just right.

When we release the need for perfection, we open ourselves up to:

  • Growth: Mistakes become lessons rather than failures
  • Authenticity: We show up as our true selves, not a manufactured version
  • Divine opportunities: God can work through our willingness, not our perfection
  • Joy: We enjoy the journey instead of constantly stressing about the destination

Embracing What God Has to Offer 💜

God’s blessings aren’t reserved for those who have it all together. They’re available to those who are willing to step forward in faith, even when things aren’t perfect. When we let go of perfectionism, we make room for divine abundance to flow into our lives.

The truth is, what you have to offer is good enough. Your unique gifts, your authentic voice, your imperfect journey—it’s all part of a bigger picture that only you can paint.

A Call to Action 🌸

If you’ve been holding yourself back because things aren’t “perfect” yet, I encourage you to take one imperfect step forward today. Start that project. Share that idea. Pursue that dream. Trust that God will meet you where you are and guide you where you need to go.

Remember: Perfectionism is a barrier to blessings. Don’t let it rob you of the beautiful life that’s waiting for you.

Stay blessed, stay in peace, and stay empowered.
