“It’s Not Too Late to Start Again”

“It’s Not Too Late to Start Again”

Hi family—welcome back. I’m Elizabeth, and this is Elizabeth Magical Garden: Reaching for the Stars.

I’m genuinely happy you’re here, because today we’re going to talk about something we all need to remember—especially when life feels messy, delayed, or downright chaotic:

It’s not too late to start again.

Before we begin, grab your beverage of choice and get comfortable. Consider this your soft place to land—a faith-filled reset, not a lecture.

There are times when life shows up with what I can only call shenanigans. The kind that makes you think, “Really? Today?”

But here’s what I’ve learned: we don’t cancel the calling because the day gets complicated.

We pivot. We breathe. We show up anyway.

And maybe it’s perfect timing—because today carries that new moon energy: the energy of starting fresh, clearing the slate, and deciding again.

Let me tell you what happened a few days ago.

I’m on and off this health journey—maybe you know the feeling. I was doing well, then my birthday hit in June (shout-out to my Geminis), summer rolled in, and my eating started getting a little… “come see, come saw.” More ordering out. Less routine. And I could feel it—in my body and in my mood.

So today I said, “Nope. We’re resetting.” Continue reading ““It’s Not Too Late to Start Again””

Why Stay In When You Can Go Out?

Why Stay In When You Can Go Out?

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself why you do the things you do? Or better yet—what causes you to do them?

This is a question I’ve been asking myself a lot lately.

Most days we wake up, get out of bed, brush our teeth, make the bed, pour a cup of coffee—and rush straight into the day without even thinking. We’re always racing toward the next goal… only to find ourselves already focused on the next big thing before we even finish the one we’re working on.

And then something happens.

The very thing that once put a sparkle in our eyes starts to feel heavy. We feel miserable. Resentful. Burnt out.

Why is that?

Why does life start to feel like a roller coaster when we’ve always been told to “take it easy” and “enjoy life”—but the world keeps preaching the opposite? With hustle culture at an all-time high, it’s no wonder so many people feel lost, exhausted, and disconnected. Continue reading “Why Stay In When You Can Go Out?”

The Best Day Ever 🎁

The Best Day Ever

What if I told you that today is the best day of your life?

Would you look at me with sad eyes, or would you celebrate the good news you just received?

So many people would probably give me the sad look, and I understand why. Somewhere along the way, a lot of people have lost hope when it comes to receiving good news.

Why is it that we can accept bad news so easily, but we hesitate to welcome good news with the same open arms?

I believe it is because hope has been worn down. We forget that every day is a gift from God, and that God has good plans for our lives.

When we slow down and see life for what it truly is, we begin to live with expectancy. We start looking for love, hope, and gratitude.

So how can we change our outlook?

What God says: life is a gift 📖 Continue reading “The Best Day Ever 🎁”

Why Say No When Life Says Yes?

Why Say No When Life Says Yes?

Have you noticed how easy it is to feel confused lately?

Not because you’re doing life “wrong”—but because there are too many choices everywhere you turn.

Think about something as simple as getting ice cream. You walk in for a quick treat and suddenly you’re staring at a wall of options—dozens, sometimes hundreds of flavors. Even if you already know you’re a vanilla person, all that variety can still make your brain go, “Wait… what if I choose the wrong one?”

Now zoom out.

That’s modern life.

We’re surrounded by opportunities, offers, ideas, projects, content, and “next best things.” And yes—humans are creators. God designed us that way. We build, we imagine, we produce. So it makes sense that the world is overflowing with possibilities.

But here’s where it gets messy:

When there are too many options, life can start to feel frantic. Overloaded. Noisy. And instead of choosing what’s good, we get so burned out that we don’t want to choose anything at all—even when it’s something that could help us.

That’s not the life I believe God intended for us.

I don’t believe we were created to live in constant panic mode—running on fumes, drowning in decisions, and calling it “normal.” Love, peace, and harmony were always part of the design.

So how do we get back to that… while still creating, growing, and living an abundant life?

The Answer That Changed Everything for Me: Rest

One of the biggest game-changers in my own life has been giving myself permission to rest—something I also talked about in a podcast episode.

Because when you rest, you give your mind, body, and spirit time to:

reset

readjust

realign

And whether people realize it or not, you are the energy source that runs this whole operation. If you don’t rest, eventually nothing works the way it’s supposed to. It’s really that simple.

What Rest Can Look Like (In Real Life)

Rest isn’t always a nap (though I love a good nap).

Rest can look like:

canceling an engagement you don’t have the capacity for

saying no to an upcoming project (even if it’s a “good” opportunity)

staying off your phone for the weekend

spending intentional time with family

reading a book just because it feeds your soul

taking a yoga class and finally breathing deeply again

doing anything that helps regulate your nervous system and bring you back to yourself

Rest Is Biblical

If God rested on the seventh day after creating the world… I believe you can too.

Rest is not laziness.

Rest is wisdom.

Rest is alignment.

So today, give yourself the gift of peace.

Your career will thank you.

Your body will thank you.

Your mind and spirit will thank you.

Hugs,

Elizabeth

Hey There, Beautiful Soul!

Hey There, Beautiful Soul!My name is Elizabeth, and you may know me from my podcast Elizabeth Magical Garden or my YouTube channel Elizabeth Magical Garden. Before we dive in, go ahead and find a comfortable spot—because we’re going to get all up in your business today.

Let’s Get Real: You’re Working Hard, But Are You Moving Forward?

Have you ever felt like you’ve been working hard—doing all the things? Going to the gym, getting your hair done, nails done, and yes, finally getting those feet done now that the sun is starting to rear its beautiful head?

Well, maybe the feet part was too much in your business—or I’m telling on myself because my toes need a good session too. Anyway, that’s not the point.

The point is: you are not where you deserve to be because you’re not being open to NEW things.

Yep, I said it.

You’re Not Alone

Here’s the thing—you’re not alone. Millions of women are stuck, despite how hard they’ve been working on themselves.

Why? Well, for one thing, women are always being pushed to take care of others rather than themselves. This has always been the hurdle that women have had to work past.

Unlike most men—and before you start with “it’s not all men,” I did say most men—they go to work, deal with the world, and come home.

But women? No matter the task, we’re met with having to look good while doing the same thing—often even more—all while presenting the world’s idea of what a woman should sound and look like while achieving her goals.

Somewhere Along the Line, Your Dreams Took a Back Seat

Somewhere along this line, dreams took a back seat. We started living a “gleaming” life of wealth and abundance…but the truth of the matter is, it’s all a lie.

Your ability to create the life that God set for you was never taken away from you.

God’s Word never changed. Society changed—not God. And the sooner you realize this, the better life gets.

But First: You Have to Change Your Way of Thinking

Without this ability to renew your mind, you’ll never get to the Promised Land. (Yes, I believe that’s what Oprah’s house is called—at least that’s what Shonda Rhimes called it in her book Year of Yes, a must-read in my opinion.)

In her book, she lays a great foundation for why following your inner voice sets you free.

This is what is needed for you to move forward: freedom to think, freedom to hear the voice of God in your life.

What Does God Say About Following Your Dreams?

Proverbs 16:3“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”

Jeremiah 29:11“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Psalm 37:4“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”

God wants you to dream. He wants you to succeed. He placed those desires in your heart for a reason.

Why Your Inability to Learn Is Your Problem

Here’s the hard truth: Your inability to learn is keeping you stuck.

I believe God has given all of us an assignment. For me, it’s writing and talking. For you, it could be acting, writing your first book, or hey—becoming a professional traveler.

Whatever that gift is, the only way it can be realized is if you take time to sit with yourself and God and find out what this life—your life—is all about.

One thing is safe to say, no matter what you believe in: sitting with self and listening to your inner voice will always lead you in the best direction.

Why? Because you hold the key. You are your biggest fan.

Believe in Yourself—God Already Does

Philippians 4:13“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

With time and the willingness to learn, heal, and hear, I believe your abundance is on its way toward your door.

Why? Because you’ll now have a pot to pour into.

So remember to dream big, my friends.

Final Thoughts

Your ability to create the life God designed for you has never been taken away. It’s time to stop making excuses and start learning, growing, and believing.

God’s Word never changed. Society did. But you don’t have to follow society’s rules—you follow His.

Stay blessed, stay empowered, and keep dreaming.

Hugs,

Elizabeth

You Are One of a Kind—Created in God’s Image

🌟 You Are One of a Kind—Created in God’s Image 🌟

Hello, my beautiful friends! Welcome back to Elizabeth’s Magical Garden. Today, we’re talking about something that will change the way you see yourself: You are one of a kind, created in God’s image.

Before we dive in, take a deep breath, grab your favorite drink, and get ready to receive this powerful message.

The Social Media Trap

Let’s be real for a moment. So many people today are living their lives as if they’re copies of some version of themselves—a version they think they’re supposed to be based on what they see online.

With social media at an all-time high, it’s safe to say that how people view themselves has become unhealthy, to say the least.

Here’s the truth: The version you see on the screen is not real.

Everyone is showing up in their Sunday best. The videos you watch are clips of the best moments—of course they’re pretty, they’re meant to be! Even the ones that claim to be “authentic” are designed to capture your attention.

So how do we go from the dark to the spotlight? How do we break free from comparison and step into our true identity?

You Are Created in God’s Image

A Shout Out to Excellence

Before we dive in, I have to give a big shout out to Michael B. Jordan. Yes, he did his thing! He won an amazing award, and it’s so refreshing to see someone of his stature handle success with such grace. I really appreciated how he had his mother by his side—he just seems to be a real, well-rounded human being.

It’s such a beautiful thing for the community—for us—to see a brother do his thing with diligence and courage. It takes tremendous courage to do what he’s doing. I’m sure he’s under a lot of pressure himself. It’s beautiful for young Black men out here to have something to aspire to. God bless him, God bless his family, and congratulations.

When the Plan Was Always the Plan ✨

When the Plan Was Always the Plan ✨

Hey there, welcome to today’s post!

Hi, I’m Elizabeth. You may know me from my podcast, Elizabeth Magical Garden Podcast, or from YouTube at Elizabeth Magical Garden.

Have you ever felt like the path you were on—good or bad—was always part of God’s mission?

Like, really looking back on life as most of us do, I’ve come to realize that life’s winding path has always been part of the master plan.

Now before you get yourself all riled up, hear me out.

Looking Back on the Journey

Think about that time in your life where you said to yourself, “How in the world did I get myself into this?”

Only by some chance, you found yourself living a whole new life—one filled with blessings and wonder.

Then one day, you sit with yourself only to realize all that you’ve been through brought you to this very moment of bliss.

I believe God will always see His plan through, no matter the road we may find our way on—good or bad.

Confident Is Your Name, Peaceful Is Your Game ✨

Hey there, welcome to today’s post!

Hi, I’m Elizabeth. You may know me from my podcast, Elizabeth Magical Garden Podcast, or from YouTube at Elizabeth Magical Garden.

As the world reaches an all-time high of people feeling low—uncertain about the current state of things, leaving many feeling lost and discouraged—here’s a bit of sunshine just for you.

Why? Well, after all, you’re here reading this post. The

last thing you need is to feel sorry for yourself. And if I

may admit, this is my small opportunity to help put a smile on your face today. So here we go.

The Power of Being Seen

Time is on Your Side

Time is on Your Side

Many people today are afraid of time passing them by—and rightfully so. With the ongoing demands of work, life challenges, and endless to-do lists, not having enough time feels like a constant struggle.

But here’s what I’ve noticed over the years of speaking to countless women: whenever they set time aside in their calendar to plan out and set intentions—whether it be for a new project or for a goal not yet realized—they were able to gain momentum.

This led me to ask a powerful question: Is it a lack of time, or a lack of planning?

The Power of Planning

Studies show that setting time to plan out the week ahead not only builds momentum—it also alleviates the brain from having to overthink. See, when you take time to write down your goals, you free up mental space. Think about it: it’s one less thing to think about, giving you more freedom to move forward with what really matters—your dreams.

It’s hard to be creative or productive if you have cloudy judgment. When you write things down, you have a clear understanding of what you want out of life.

Real Transformation

This practice has been a huge influence for the women I’ve worked with over the years. They’ve discovered that time is what you make of it, and planning ahead is what truly matters.

So the next time worry about your future comes up, take a deep breath and write down your thoughts. You’ll feel better about yourself and your future. Time is on your side when you take control of it.

Hugs,

Elizabeth
