One Life, One Moment

One Life, One Moment

“Time is the most precious gift we’ve been given—don’t wait for permission to unwrap it.”

Imagine you had just one day to decide: Would you finally live the life you’ve always dreamed of? Would you seize the moment, or would you ask for more time—as if time were something handed out like candy at a parade?

“The clock doesn’t pause for anyone—but you can choose to be present for every tick.”

The truth is, many of us would ask for more time. We’ve grown comfortable believing there’s always tomorrow. But here’s what we don’t realize: time is slipping through our fingers right now. While we scroll through social media feeds, comparing our lives to highlight reels, real life—the one happening outside our screens—is passing us by.

The Illusion of “Someday”

Between work obligations, isolation, and the numbing comfort of our devices, we’ve forgotten how to move, how to breathe, how to live. Before you know it, the kids are off to college, and your mailbox is flooded with AARP pamphlets. You blink, and decades have vanished.

“Someday isn’t a day of the week—it’s a dream you keep postponing.”

But what if you could turn back the hands of time—not literally, but by doing something radical, something almost unheard of in our hurried world?

What if you chose to live in the NOW?

It’s Never Too Late to Start Living

Whether you’re in your 50s, 60s, 70s, or beyond, what if you made a decision right here, right now, to live each day as if it were your last? Let’s face it—time becomes a precious elixir as we age, something to be savored and cherished, not wasted.

So why not make the best of it?

  • Step outside and breathe in the fresh air. Feel the sun on your skin, the wind in your hair.
  • Write that book you’ve always been too busy to write. Your story matters—tell it.
  • Take a road trip across the country. Despite what the kids might think, adventure doesn’t have an expiration date.
  • Entertain a new love interest. Who knows where this newfound connection might take you? Hey, it’s worth a shot!

“Living boldly isn’t reckless—it’s the most faithful response to the gift of life.”

Live Life on Purpose

What would happen if you lived life on purpose? I believe God’s plan for our lives is to live purposefully, intentionally, and abundantly. Think about it: above all, He gave us dominion over everything, along with all good things. He didn’t create us to merely exist—He created us to thrive.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” — John 10:10

So the next time you ask yourself, “Should I take this chance? Should I move forward?”—remember the incredible gift God has granted you: the gift of life itself.

Final Thoughts

Don’t wait for the perfect moment. Don’t wait until you feel ready. The moment is now. The life you’ve been dreaming of is waiting for you to claim it.

“One life. One moment. Make it count.” 💕
