When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Praying

Hey there! I’m Elizabeth. You may know me from Elizabeth Magical Garden podcast or my YouTube channel, Elizabeth Magical Garden. Today, I’d like to break the ice, so to speak.

What Do You Do When Life Gets Hard?

What do you do when the going gets tough? Do you scream? Do you shout? Do you go out and punch something?

For me, I like to go to the gym and let it all hang out. No, really—I like to stretch my limbs as far and wide as I possibly can. Boy, does it feel good!

Anyway, the point I’m trying to make here is this: many people start to feel as if life is closing in on them due to their inability to see past the present pain they are experiencing.

You’re Not Alone in Feeling Hopeless

Millions of people are feeling hopeless due to what life has been presenting to them, amplified by what they see on screen.

But what if I told you it’s all a hoax—it’s not true? Stay with me here. Keep reading and bear with me.

What If We Looked Inward Instead?

The world, as we know it, is going through mighty changes, to say the least. But what if every human were to stop focusing on what they see on the outside and, well… started looking inward?

What do you think the state of the world would be in? Would there be more peace? Would things feel and appear calmer?

These are some of the questions that may come to mind when we stop to look inward. Because it’s safe to say most people—if not all—are in a state of some form of peace when they close their eyes, right?

Well, that depends on what kind of mindset you’re in when it comes to spending time with yourself. Realizing that your peace may deeply depend on your ability to go deeper.

Prayer: The Easiest Way to Heal and Find Clarity

I believe praying is the easiest way to heal and find clarity in life.

Ask yourself this question: Are you really okay with only having “you” to believe in?

Hey, maybe you are, and that’s fine too. But there is something to be said about being able to rest all your cares on the altar, knowing that you no longer have to worry about a thing.

It’s Like Being a Child Again

I compare it to when you were a child. Remember how comforting it was to come to someone who was much older than you to solve whatever issue you were dealing with at the time?

Or even a baby, for that matter. What if we told the baby, “Hey, welcome! Nice to meet you. There’s the fridge—make yourself at home”? Sounds ridiculous, right?

Well, it’s the same thing. God created humanity to establish a relationship with Him, so it’s no wonder there is an emptiness inside when we don’t have one with Him.

Prayer allows for that re-connection.

A New Direction

Hey, this is me pointing you in a new—or once-lived—direction. Whatever you choose to believe is fine, but do me a favor and ask yourself:

Are you living the best life you could possibly be living right now? Or is there something that can be added to your life that could shed some much-needed light?

I’ll leave that answer up to you.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Hugs,

Elizabeth
