The Midnight Hour

The Midnight Hour

Hey, I’m Elizabeth. You may know me from Elizabeth Magical Garden on YouTube or from my podcast, Elizabeth Magical Garden.

Today I want to talk about something so many people do without realizing it.

They stop before they even get started.

Maybe you know the type. And if we’re being honest, maybe you have been that person too.

You have the big dream in your head.

Writing the book.

Starting the business.

Moving across the country.

Changing your life.

But instead of living the plan, you keep thinking about the plan.

And that constant thinking can feel exhausting, like you are tired from a world you have not even lived yet.

I know because I have been there.

When I first wanted to start podcasting, I thought about it for years before I finally worked up the nerve.

And here is the truth.

When I started, I was still afraid.

The difference was that I did it anyway.

A lot of people do not talk about this part, but I want to say it clearly.

The fear does not always go away.

Sometimes you simply get tired of staying the same.

Tired of wondering.

Tired of building a whole life out of “what ifs.”

That exhaustion can become the turning point.

So how do you save yourself months, even years, and stop waiting for the perfect moment?

1. Understand that fear can be your guide

Fear is often a sign that you are standing at the edge of growth.

When you are doing something unfamiliar, your body tries to protect you.

That does not mean you are off track.

It can mean you are exactly where you need to be.

2. Be kind to yourself while you learn

Most of us are hardest on ourselves at the beginning.

But getting mad at yourself for not doing it perfectly the first time is like getting upset at a baby for falling while learning to walk.

You are learning how to walk in your new journey.

Give yourself grace.

3. Have fun with the process

One of the biggest lessons I have learned is that joy makes room for creativity.

When you are clenched up, you cannot receive.

When you relax, you open.

So enjoy the process and let the ideas flow.

A short poem: The Midnight Hour

At the midnight hour, when the world is quiet,

Your dream still breathes, steady and defiant.

Fear may speak first, but it cannot decide,

Because courage is born when you move with it beside.

One small step, then another, and you will see,

The life you have prayed for was waiting on you to believe.

So remember: hearing is one thing.

But the real joy comes when you bring those dreams to life.

Hugs,

Elizabeth
