The Best Day Ever
What if I told you that today is the best day of your life?
Would you look at me with sad eyes, or would you celebrate the good news you just received?
So many people would probably give me the sad look, and I understand why. Somewhere along the way, a lot of people have lost hope when it comes to receiving good news.
Why is it that we can accept bad news so easily, but we hesitate to welcome good news with the same open arms?
I believe it is because hope has been worn down. We forget that every day is a gift from God, and that God has good plans for our lives.
When we slow down and see life for what it truly is, we begin to live with expectancy. We start looking for love, hope, and gratitude.
So how can we change our outlook?
What God says: life is a gift 📖
- “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24
- “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights…” — James 1:17
- “Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring… you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.”— James 4:14
- “Teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.” — Psalm 90:12 </aside>
1. Go on a nature walk
I do not know about you, but I always feel better after a good walk outside. And the trees? I am so grateful for them. Now that the weather is nice, I look forward to early morning walks.
2. Write in your journal
I love journaling, and it has truly been a game changer for me. It helps me clear out unwanted thoughts I may have been holding onto. Try it. You will be surprised by what you unpack.
3. Wake up earlier
There is something powerful about being an early riser. Think about how many hours you get back when you sacrifice sleeping in.
Simple, but powerful.
The next time you start to feel like life has lost its zest, try these steps. I believe you will be back on track in no time.
