Courage is what it takes.

Courage is what it takes.

Elizabeth Magical Garden

Whenever I feel a little blue, I stop and look for what’s going right in my life. Even the small things—even the things I used to complain about—like my dog barking early in the morning because they want to play.

Some days I’m tired… but then I remember: that bark means life. That bark means love. That bark means I’m blessed enough to hear it.

And that’s the point I’m trying to make: there is always something to be grateful for.

We live in a world that tries to tell us success equals happiness—how much money you make, what you drive, where you vacation, how “big” your life looks to other people. But when did achievements start controlling our joy?

Don’t get me wrong—I’m ambitious too. But there is something powerful about pausing and celebrating your life right now, in this moment, exactly as it is.

Because I truly don’t believe God created us only to chase goals and prove ourselves. Yes, we are called to grow, flourish, and multiply—but we are also called to enjoy the life God gave us.

God’s Word reminds us:

“Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24)

So take this as your invitation to pause and reflect:

Look at where you are. Look at how far you’ve come. Look at what God has carried you through.

And remember—you are God’s creation, made in God’s image. (Genesis 1:27)

That means you are valuable. You are purposeful. You are not behind. You are becoming.

Hugs,

Elizabeth
