When the Plan Was Always the Plan ✨
Hey there, welcome to today’s post!
Hi, I’m Elizabeth. You may know me from my podcast, Elizabeth Magical Garden Podcast, or from YouTube at Elizabeth Magical Garden.
Have you ever felt like the path you were on—good or bad—was always part of God’s mission?
Like, really looking back on life as most of us do, I’ve come to realize that life’s winding path has always been part of the master plan.
Now before you get yourself all riled up, hear me out.
Looking Back on the Journey
Think about that time in your life where you said to yourself, “How in the world did I get myself into this?”
Only by some chance, you found yourself living a whole new life—one filled with blessings and wonder.
Then one day, you sit with yourself only to realize all that you’ve been through brought you to this very moment of bliss.
I believe God will always see His plan through, no matter the road we may find our way on—good or bad.
God’s Word: The Plan Was Always the Plan
Scripture reminds us of this truth time and time again. Let’s look at a few verses that speak directly to God’s unwavering plan:
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Even when the road seems unclear, God’s plan for you is one of hope and purpose.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
When we trust Him, He straightens the crooked paths we walk.
Romans 8:28 (NIV) “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.“
Even the hard times, the detours, the mistakes—all things work together for good.
Thread-Level Truth: Faith in the Process
As long as we have a willingness in our hearts to hear His voice, He is there—leading us out through the darkness.
We’ve all heard of that person who was down on their luck, only to one day miraculously find their way out of it.
I believe that is what faith does to a person living out their life. You know the old saying: “If you can believe it, then you can achieve it.”
It wasn’t until many years later that I allowed myself to believe this was true.
My Story: A Teen Mother’s Testimony
As a teen mother, I was blessed to receive many miracles—think about it: no money, no home of my own, a new mother with a newborn baby.
I believe the grace of God saw me through all those rough patches. And I’m sure if you looked back on your life, you can say the same.
So know this, friend: if and when you find yourself in a place in life where things are looking bleak, know that God is with you.
Deuteronomy 31:6 (NIV) “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
He will never leave you or forsake you. God loves you forever and ever.
You Are Right Where You Need to Be
You, my friend, are right where you need to be.
So remember: keep walking, keep moving forward, and one day you too will be looking back—only to see how far you’ve come.
The plan was always the plan. Trust it. Trust Him.
Hugs, Elizabeth
